Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026.
In short
- The game works offline and sends no data anywhere.
- The site uses no cookies, visitor analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from third parties.
- We only process data you send us by email (or as a tester), only to reply to you.
- You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of the personal data described in this policy is the creator of 5×4 – Futsal Simulator. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, write to [email protected].
2. The game
5×4 – Futsal Simulator works without an internet connection and has no accounts. Careers, settings and feedback files stay on your computer only (in Documents/5x4 Futsal Simulator). The game sends no personal data, usage statistics or crash reports to any server.
Purchase and installation on Steam are handled by Valve under the Steam privacy policy. We receive no data from Valve that identifies you, only aggregated sales figures.
3. This site
The site uses no cookies, analytics tools, advertising or social media buttons that track you. Fonts, images and videos are served by the site itself, so visiting it does not send your IP address to third parties.
If you choose a language, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), only so the site opens in the same language next time. It is used for nothing else, never leaves your computer and can be cleared in your browser settings. As it is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for, no consent is required.
Like any website, the hosting server automatically logs technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser). These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and are deleted after 30 days at most.
4. When you write to us
If you email us, we process your address, your name and whatever you send, only to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us or, where it concerns buying or testing the game, steps you asked us to take (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep these messages until the matter is closed and for 12 months afterwards at most.
5. Testers
People taking part in pre-launch testing receive a personal copy with an activation code that includes their name. We process the name, email address and feedback sent to us to run the test and improve the game, on the basis of the participation agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The code is checked on the computer itself, offline. We delete this data within 6 months of launch, unless you ask to stay in the testers’ group.
6. Discord, Steam and social media
The site links to Steam, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. These are plain links: nothing from these services loads on the site. When you visit them or take part in our pages and servers, each platform’s privacy policy applies. On social media pages, the platform may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics about visits; for those statistics we are joint controllers with the platform, which handles requests about them.
7. Who we share data with
We do not sell or hand over personal data. Only our service providers (site hosting and email) can access it, on our behalf and under contracts that require them to protect it. If any of them processes data outside the European Economic Area, this only happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just write to [email protected]; we reply within one month.
If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in Portugal, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt); in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk); or the authority in the country where you live.
9. Children
The site asks nobody for data and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you are under 13, ask a parent to write to us for you.
10. Security and changes
We keep the little data we process in services protected by passwords and two-factor authentication, and only the controller has access. If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its update date.
